Manager – Business Development

Experience & Profile: Graduate + MBAs (equivalent) with 4 years’ experience in Corporate BD

Location:  1 position at Bangalore Office of India Life Capital / to generate sales and develop business in Bangalore and rest of South India;

Principal responsibilities:

  1. Establish relationships and create visibility with corporates / institutions
  2. Extract mandates and generate business from such relationships
  3. Ensure sales objectives are achieved for the respective region
  4. Ensure that the market is adequately covered and strong relationships are established to generate sales
  5. Ensure complete and thorough understanding of all product lines
  6. Function as an independent sales leader and brand ambassador for the respective Region
  7. Undertake any other duties as appropriate within his/her competence, as required by the Head of BD from time to time


This position will entail direct responsibility of sales generation and business development for the region, for all three verticals of India Life Capital (Investment Advisory, Legal Consulting and Investment Consulting). Revenue targets will be assigned for the Financial Year. The BD manager is expected to perform all the activities in the sales process including database mining, cold calling, meeting clients / prospects, proposal writing, cross selling and securing mandates. In the process he/she will also interface with all relevant department and cross functions which will help generate sales.
